Dortmund zeigt sich von seiner besten Seite! Entgegen aller landläufigen Vorurteile kann man durch unser Rahmenprogramm Dortmund von neuen Blickwinkeln aus kennenlernen. Es gibt nicht nur Kohle, Stahl und Bier! (Aber doch können und wollen wir unsere Herkunft nicht verleugnen!).
Wir haben eine Karte mit allen für das AGM relevanten Locations erstellt. Mit dem Button oben links in der Karte kann auch ein Menü für die einzelnen Locations aufgeklappt werden. So können z.B. nur die möglichen Rahmenprogramm-Punkte angezeigt werden. Mit dem Button oben rechts kann die Karte in einem neuen Fenster vergrößert werden.

Dortmund is a nice city to visit! There is also a lot more to see and experience than coal, steel and beer (although we won't ignore these essential parts of course). Use our tips here for places to visit while you are in town.
We added a map with all relevant locations. With the button on the top left you can open a menu with which you can toggle the different location layers. Skywalk HOCHOFENerlebnis
Dortmund gehört zum Ruhrgebiet und war eng mit Stahl und Kohle verbunden. Das wollen wir euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten und koordinieren deshalb Führungen an der ehemaligen Hochofenanlage auf Phoenix West. Dazu gehört auch der ganz besondere Skywalk in 70m Höhe. Von dort aus gibt es auch einen guten Blick über die Stadt und viele Infos über die einzelnen von dort aus zu erspähenden Sehenswürdigkeiten vom Tour-Guide. Erste Einblicke zu der Tour gibt es auf der Homepage zum Skywalk Dortmund. Die Tour bzw. die Touren finden am Samstag irgendwann zwischen 11 und 13 Uhr statt, je nachdem, wie viele Gruppen wir zusammenbekommen. Tickets können im Webshop auf der Ticket-Seite gebucht werden.

Stadion / Signal-Iduna-Park / Tempel
Der Signal-Iduna-Park lockt viele Menschen nach Dortmund. Der BvB bietet interaktive Stadionspaziergänge an (Smartphone mit Kopfhörer mitbringen). Außerdem gibt es dort auch das Borussia-Museum: Borusseum. Am besten direkt das Kombiticket buchen und beides mitmachen.

There are a lot of people visiting Dortmund because of our soccer team BvB. The stadium offers interactive walks an (bring your smartphone with headphones). We are not sure if the audio files are offered in english too though. There is also a museum of the BvB: Borusseum. If you want to visit, you can book the combinationticket and do both.

Where else than in Dortmund should the German Football Association have built their official museum? See in person the world cup and europe cup trophys of the german soccer team. Get to know more about the deciding moments in soccer history. There is also a modern 3D-theatre with holographic technology – without the need for 3d glasses. Shopping
Die Fußgängerzone am Westenhellweg gehört zu den meistbesuchten Einkaufsstraßen Deutschlands. Kleine und große Geschäfte reihen sich aneinander, auch in den Nebenstraßen gibt es viel zu sehen und mit Kirchen und Denkmälern gibt es auch einiges kulturelles zu sehen. Wem das noch nicht reicht, der kann direkt am Ende des Westenhellwegs in die Thier Galerie gehen, eine großes Shopping-Center mit über 160 weiteren Shops.

Shopping
The pedestrian zone at the Westenhellweg belongs to the most visited shopping miles in Germany. Small and big stores can be found on the main street and all the small backstreets. With a lot of churches and memorials in between there is also a lot to discover in terms of culture. If that is not enough for you, you can visit the Thier Galerie at the end of the Westenhellweg, which is a big shopping center with over 160 stores.

Westfalenpark inkl. Turmfahrt und Rombergpark
Der Westfalenpark ist eine 70 Hektar große innerstädtische Parkanlage. Der Eintritt ist zwar kostenpflichtig, dafür gibt es jedoch einiges zu sehen und zu tun für Groß und Klein. Einige der Highlights sind das Rosarium für die Blumenliebhaber, der frisch renovierte Robinson-Spielplatz für die Kinder und die parkeigene Eisenbahn für eine Rundfahrt durch den Park.
Im Westfalenpark steht auch der Aussichts- und Fernsehturm Florian, von dem aus man, nach der Auffahrt, eine wunderbare Sicht über die ganze Stadt hat.
Kostenlos ist der Zugang zum nicht viel weiter entfernten Rombergpark, dem mit 68 Hektar größten botanischen Garten Deutschlands. Bezogen auf die Gehölzsammlung ist es sogar der größte botanische Garten Europas. Seit ein paar Jahren gibt es dort auch Europas größte künstliche Heide- und Moorlandschaft. Es ist einfach schön durch den Sand zu schlendern – am besten Barfuß natürlich! Selbstverständlich gibt es auch Spielplätze für die Kinder.

Westfalenpark incl. tower view platform and Rombergpark
The Westfalenpark is a 70 hectar big innercity park. There is an entrance fee, however you get to see a lot for young and old alike. Some of the highlights are the Rosarium (rose collection), the freshly renovated Robinson playground for kids and the parks own railroad for a nice round trip.
Located at the Westfalenpark is also the television tower Florian with a nice viewing platform (with an elevator), from which you have a nice overview over the whole city.
Free of charge is the entrance to the Rombergpark which is not much further away. With 68 hectar it the the biggest botanical garden in Germany. In reference to the tree and shrubs collection the park is the biggest botanical garden in Europe. For a few years now, it also has Europes biggest artifical heath- and moorlandscape. It is just nice to wander through the sand – barefoot of course! Naturally there are also playgrounds for children.

Zoo Dortmund
Direkt am Rombergpark befindet sich der Dortmunder Zoo. 1600 Tiere aus Afrika, Südamerika, Asien, Australien und weiteren Regionen locken die Besucher an. Natürlich gibt es auch einen Spielplatz und einen Streichelzoo.

We do have a famous german car enthusiast and YouTuber in Dortmund, JP Performance. So if you like cars and car tuning, this might be interesting to you. You can visit his car repair shop where you can tune your car, his burger restaurant BigBoostBurger and of course his (brand new) car museum, the PACE.
